Dr. Hall states, “With history traveling forward, we can erase the disparities of healthcare in ethnicity across the state and the nation by providing the tools of assistance that will enable us to say to Government that the male population refuses to accept the voided check marked insufficient that will allow us to address the improprieties of prostate and colon cancer.”
“The opportunity was afforded this reality to be a factual vision on July 16th in San Antonio, Texas when the Georgia State Conference of the NAACP Leadership claimed the highest honor in what will be its first expression in the field of Health. Due to a series of government-related miscommunications about the purpose of their visit, and the civil unrest of the political climate at the time, Dr. Hall and his entire group were held hostage by rebel forces for a period of several days. As a result, the U.S. State Department and other government officials had to negotiate Dr. Hall’s release and safe return to the United States. Dr. Hall returned to India in 1998, where he became the first African American delegate representing the U.S. to meet with (the late) Mother Teresa to discuss the effects of the AIDS pandemic in her country.
